Terms of Service

Last updated November 1, 2026

These terms describe how Goren Electric quotes, performs, and guarantees electrical work, and they cover your use of this website.

1. These terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any estimate, proposal, or electrical work provided by Goren Electric of 12547 Califa Street, Valley Village, CA 91607. By submitting an inquiry or accepting a proposal, you agree to these terms. A signed proposal or contract for a specific project controls if it conflicts with this page.

2. Services

We provide electrical design, installation, service, and maintenance for residential, commercial, industrial, and motor control systems, including repeatable programs such as laundromats and data centers. All work is performed by certified installers and electricians and, where required, under permit and inspection.

3. Estimates and pricing

Our pricing is open-book. A quote is built from four inputs, each shown to you before work begins:

  • Material costs — wire, conduit, panels, gear, and devices at documented cost.
  • Labor — estimated hours at published rates for the crew the scope requires.
  • Overhead — insurance, permits, vehicles, tooling, and administration.
  • Reasonable markup — a fair margin that supports the lifetime guarantee.

4. Proposals, changes, and scheduling

Estimates are based on the scope described at the time of quoting and remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Concealed conditions, code-required upgrades discovered during the work, or client-requested changes are handled by written change order priced the same way as the original quote and approved before the work proceeds.

Schedules are set in good faith and may shift for permit timing, inspections, material lead times, or site access.

5. Lifetime guarantee

We guarantee our workmanship for the life of the installation, for as long as the system remains in service and is used as designed. If a defect in our workmanship causes a failure, we will repair or replace the affected work at no charge for labor or materials.

  • The guarantee covers work performed by Goren Electric, including terminations, supports, enclosures, and load balancing we installed and verified.
  • It does not cover equipment, fixtures, or gear manufactured by others (those carry their manufacturers' warranties), damage from misuse, alteration by others, power surges, water, fire, earthquake, or other events outside our control.
  • It does not cover normal wear of lamps, batteries, or consumable parts, or work we did not perform.
  • Guarantee service requires reasonable access to the installation and notice to us within a reasonable time of the failure.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, and disclose known hazards or existing conditions.
  • Obtain or authorize any owner-side approvals, HOA permissions, or utility arrangements that are not part of our scope.
  • Keep the installation unaltered by unqualified persons; alterations by others void the guarantee for the affected portion.

7. Payment

Payment terms are stated on each proposal and invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, progress payments may be required as work advances, with the balance due on completion. Late amounts may accrue interest where permitted by law, and unpaid balances may be subject to mechanics' lien remedies available to licensed contractors in California.

8. Permits, code, and inspections

Where permits are required, we obtain them as part of the scope unless the proposal states otherwise, and we coordinate required inspections. Work is performed to the codes and standards in effect at the time of installation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from services is limited to the amount paid for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profit, lost use, or damage to contents. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Website use

Content on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false information through our contact form, or attempt to interfere with its operation.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
